Attack the Strike Zone!

Many pitchers and coaches who call pitches fall into giving the hitter too much credit. A successful pitcher pitches ahead of the count. In order to consistently successful we have to get Strike 1! If you find yourself falling behind often, assess how you are using the strike zone. Are you pitching to the corners first and finding yourself having to use the middle of the plate when behind in the count? Attack the middle of the plate first and then expand. Don't try to pick at the corners and fall behind. Its a recipe for disaster! Be confident in your stuff and work ahead first and then expand the strike zone.

Have fun doing it!
