Tip #1 on What to do after we throw the baseball:

With the possibility of runners going to third base or scoring a run we as pitchers have to back up each base in expectation of a bad throw. When backing up third & home, get as far back as possible to give more room to move and more time to react to the errant throw. If you don't know if the ball is going to third or
home, split the difference between home plate and third base until the play
unfolds and rush to the right area.
As pitchers we always have somewhere to be. Don't get caught standing on the mound observing!
