2 Ways to disguise your pitches...

Pitchers must disguise their pitches from the hitter. The 2 main ways a pitcher must disguise his pitches are with fastball arm speed on every pitch and having the same release point no matter the pitch he is throwing. If a pitcher slows his arm down to throw his off speed pitches, this telegraphs or helps the hitter see a different pitch is coming other than the fastball. Also, if a pitcher releases his fastball from one arm slot and his off speed pitch from another, hitters will be able to make adjustments to the pitchers pitches much easier. Maintain fastball arm speed on every pitch and watch hitters have a more difficult time reading what you are throwing.
